Adam Hall provides audio and lighting solution to Hotel Monsuau
On the terrace of this Mallorcan hotel, a solution integrated by the security systems has been installed. LD Systems y Cameo, brands of Adam Hall.
On the roof terrace of the Monsuau boutique hotel of Cala D’Or (Mallorca), guests can enjoy sunset cocktails, listen to DJ sets and experience live shows. All this with a sound and lighting system that has provided Sonomusic. This has developed a customized solution based on the equipment of LD Systems y Cameo. Audio and lighting settings are managed and controlled by the Questra design and management software.
For this audio system we wanted it to be of high quality, with an attractive design that matched the style of the rooftop bar and uniform coverage but without disturbing the hotel rooms below or the adjacent residential buildings.
“With the compact LD Systems column speakers CORRECT i1 and the subwoofers Dqor SUB 8, we found an optimal solution for this challenge”, explains Andreu Femenias, CEO of Sonomusic.
The Mallorcan audiovisual systems integration company was also in charge of installing the previous configuration, that had been in use for some 15 years, since the opening of the hotel. In addition to sound quality and precise alignment, It was important to the hotel operators that the technology be integrated into the deliberately chosen sixties style for the roof terrace..
Sonomusic opted for all-white versions of the MAUI i1 and Dqor SUB 8, and all components - both audio and lighting- They were selected for their year-round weather resistance (IP65).
Integrated control with Questra
Sonomusic has trusted Questra from LD Systems to control, individually, the different areas of the roof: the bar, the restaurant, the hall and the stage.
Design and management software, which constitutes the heart and brain of the cosmos by Adam Hall Integrated Systems, It also brings together all the audio components of the Monsuau hotel, since the IPA installation amplifiers 424 T until Ethernet/Dante expansion cards X-EDAI and installed speakers.
Sonomusic has also carried out the planning and control of the lighting technology at Questra. “The hotel operators wanted to control everything centrally through one platform”, explains Andreu Femenias. “Questra, we were able to integrate all audio and lighting elements through a central matrix, from speakers and LED strips to moving lights”.
To automatically adapt lighting and volume to different times of day and daylight situations, Sonomusic has programmed individual lighting scenes using the Cameo DVC CUE virtual controller from Questra, which staff can select via QTP touch screens 8 de LD Systems.
Long distance effect
For lighting the circular stage and the bar area, Sonomusic has opted for a weather-resistant combination of barras Led Cameo Pixbar 400 IP G2 y Azor SP2 IP profile and focus moving heads, which are mounted along the truss of the round arch of the stage and effectively set the scene for concerts and DJ sets.
“The client wanted a powerful, mobile luminaire that was visible from afar and would attract attention”, comments Andreu Femenias. “The Azor SP2 IP perfectly meets these requirements”. Led bars and moving lights are complemented with foci for outdoors Q-SPOT 40 IB with Led RGBW, which are also suitable for IP65, and a Phantom H2 fog machine, providing additional atmosphere on and off stage.
