Electro-Voice and Dynacord give life to Lapso fitness studios

The main challenge in both studios was acoustics. Both training spaces are surrounded by mirrors, what makes it difficult. While Fentum Pro was able to acoustically treat the floor and ceiling to minimize the rebound of sound energy into the room, I also needed to find the right speakers to provide the right power levels, clearly focused on participants.
“You have to take into account the coach and the clarity of the voice under system load”, explains Jordi Raluy, technical director of Commercial Acson, local partner of Electro-Voice and Dynacord. “We are looking for the best speaker models for this project. They had to be very directional and have the best gain before feedback”.
The best solution to satisfy these needs was the Electro-Voice EVC Series Speakers and Subwoofers.

“We use the Dynacord MXE5 processor a lot”, afirma Scholten. “The processor was very intuitive. We had to program everything correctly in Sonicue to cancel out all the unwanted frequencies. It was very useful for us to find a solution this way”.
Another was creating a simple way for instructors to control the system from their computers in front of the class.. “We created an interface on the tablet where instructors can control sound and lights from the same GUI”, Explica Scholten.
Reflecting on the project, Scholten is very satisfied with the performance of the system. “I think we did a great job., since they have not called us again since the facility was built”, smile. “It has been working since day one and, para mí, this is a success”.
