OSH Hotel Cartagena opts for DAS Audio for its sound infrastructure

In this boutique hotel, an installation has been designed that integrates different series of THE audio, adapted to the needs of each space. For swimming pools, we have opted for the WR series systems, while for the bar the Quantum series has been chosen and inside you can see Artec and Vantec models.

The installation in the OSH Hotel Cartagena integrates sound solutions from DAS Audio designed to respond to the different needs of spaces. The resistance of the WR series against the climate of Cartagena, the discretion of Quantum and the versatility of Artec and Vantec ensure that each zone has the right sound atmosphere, always in harmony with its architectural design.

OSH Hotel, located in the Getsemaní neighborhood of Cartagena de Indias, It is a boutique accommodation that integrates modern style and local tradition. It has interior patios, two outdoor pools and a rooftop bar with views of the walled city, plus a restaurant, a lobby and common areas for rest and socialization. All these spaces maintain a modern style that reflects the character of the area..

The design and execution of the sound project was in charge of Provence, Colombian integrator with extensive experience in audiovisual solutions for hotels, restaurants and leisure spaces. Fernando Nanão also collaborated on the project, Senior Engineer DAS Audio Latam, which validated the technical development to ensure maximum adaptation to the hotel's needs.

Cartagena de Indias is characterized by a humid tropical climate, with average temperatures of 27 a 30 °C during much of the year and humidity levels that usually exceed the 80%. These conditions present a challenge for any outdoor installation, since the equipment must resist heat, humidity, solar radiation and occasional exposure to heavy rain, while maintaining its sound performance.

Each area of ​​the hotel (swimming pools, rooftop, lobby, restaurant and event rooms) required a different type of solution, from systems to create atmosphere in social areas to more discreet ones for rest or gastronomy spaces. The challenge was to find a global solution that offered quality, homogeneity and reliability, while integrating with the aesthetics and design of the hotel.

Sound adapted to each area

Provenco has designed an installation that integrates different DAS Audio series, adapted to the needs of each space. The first floor pools have ten WR-8826 and four WR-151S, while eight WR-6412 and four WR-322S have been placed in the rooftop pool.

The serie WR, designed specifically for outdoors, guarantees sound coverage and clarity in spaces exposed to heat and humidity, maintaining reliability and durability.

At the rooftop bar, has been chosen for Quantum series, with ten Q-23-T and four Q-10. These systems stand out for their small size and discretion., allowing them to integrate into the architectural environment without altering the aesthetics, while providing intelligibility and musicality in a space where the setting is key.

In interior spaces such as the lobby, Twelve Artec-326 and four Vantec-118A have been installed in the restaurant and bar., configuring a set that combines warmth, power and coverage, capable of accompanying both ambient music and moments of greater dynamism.

Finally, in the event rooms 1 y 2 is available of two Arcte -326 and four Q-23-T, systems capable of adjusting to different needs, from corporate meetings to private celebrations.

“In this project, together with the design of DAS Audio Latam, the objective was to create a homogeneous experience in all rooms of the hotel., taking care of both sound quality and aesthetic integration.
