Nunsys Group culminates the comprehensive AV renovation of the Banyoles MAB
The Spanish technological specialist Nunsys has executed a project in this important Catalan museum that combines audiovisual innovation, smart lighting and interactive experiences.
Opened a few days ago, he Regional Archaeological Museum of Banyoles (MAB) has opened its doors after a profound museographic renovation of four years in which the technology firm has participated Nunsys Group, making it a cultural reference in Pla de l'Estany.
Its opening was attended by the general director of Cultural Heritage and Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture, Angeles Albert Leon; the Minister of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Sonia Hernandez; and of Michael Noguer, mayor of Banyoles and president of the Girona Provincial Council.
Awarded through bidding, with a total amount greater than 830.000 euros in charge of the different public administrations involved, The project has been executed by Nunsys audiovisual area, who has contributed his experience in solutions for museums.
The objective of the project executed by Nunsys has been to “guarantee that the technological elements always remain at the service of the message, so that the technical 'container' enhances and directs attention to the exhibition 'content', who is the true protagonist", as explained by its general director, Beatriz Calvo.
To ensure maximum quality and reliability, Nunsys' specialist team has drawn on the latest AV technology, with the installation of twenty-five monitors LG Electronics with WebOs and 4K resolution; five video projectors Epson with WUXGA resolution; precision supports B-Tech AV Mounts, and Blocks software Pixilab, distributed and with technical support from inWO Smart AV, to manage the museum's audiovisual content, regulate lighting and offer adapted tours in real time thanks to the control of multimedia guides.
Nunsys Group's intervention in the MAB has also included the supply and installation of the entire museography in the five chronological blocks that make up the exhibition, from showcases, covenant scenic elements to a static and dynamic lighting system synchronized with the voiceovers of the audio guides, that reproduce the content from the visitors' own mobile phones in a personalized way.

Located in the historic Gothic building of Pia Almoina, The MAB preserves one of the most important paleontological and archaeological collections in Catalonia, con 1.600 parts exposed spanning from the Upper Tertiary to the Middle Ages, including the famous Mandible of Banyoles, considered one of the most important human fossils in Europe.
After its comprehensive reformulation, now open to the public, the museum center, of 1.805 m² surface, begins a new stage offering a tour that combines scientific rigor, accessibility and technology, consolidating itself as a reference cultural space to teach and connect with the public through immersive and sustainable experiences.
