Riedel creates a communication network for the XV National Games of China
The comprehensive communication and feedback solution for Riedel, with its Artist intercom platform at the core, has guaranteed fluid connectivity between four international transmission centers and more than fifty venues during the thirty days of this multi-sports event.
Los 15th Chinese National Games They have had the technology of Riedel Communications, that you provided during the event, held last November, a Comprehensive seamless communications and feedback solution.
Riedel's solution has supported 56 competition venues and four International Broadcast Centers (CIR) a Guangdong, Hong Kong y Macao, with fluid coordination to 56 transmission equipment and 39 ultra high definition productionsn.
The XV National Games was the first participation of Hong Kong and Macau as host regions, “which presented challenges to coordinate communications between multiple locations,” explains Yuquan Lin, technical director of the RHB National Games. Riedel's solution addressed these complexities with a system that ensured seamless connectivity between four IBCs and 56 headquarters”.
From implementation to integration, Riedel intercom technology facilitated a efficient collaboration between teams of the three regions. “The reliability and performance of its Riedel infrastructure established a solid technical benchmark for large-scale interregional events”.
The National Games introduced an innovative IBC configuration with a main system in Guangzhou connecting three regional sub-centers in Shenzhen, Hong Kong y Macao. To respond to the demands of this distributed architecture, Riedel implemented his Artist intercom platform as the backbone of the network.
A matriz Artist-1024 at the Guangzhou IBC it supported more than two hundred channels, including AES67/ST2110-30 IP transmission and MADI signal integration, while one Artist-128 managed channels dedicated to commentators.
Both arrays were connected using cascaded fiber connections., creating a redundant configuration for uninterrupted performance. In all IBCs, Riedel installed twenty-eight SmartPanels RSP-2318 Supports AES67/ST2110-30 and PTPv2 clock for precise synchronization.
These panels have provided a direct and low latency communication between production teams and rights-holding broadcasters. In the enclosure, 56 adapters NSA-002A have converted traditional four-wire signals into IP transmissions, with a latency less than 10 milliseconds, which ensured real-time connectivity even during peak hours.
Riedel also provided thirteen CCP-1116 comment panels for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as for thirteen important competitions. Each cabin had high quality preamplification and intercom, allowing commentators to interact directly with production teams, maintaining intelligible audio for the public.
“The scale and complexity of this year's National Games required a robust and flexible solution capable of connecting multiple regions - notes Guillaume Mauffrey, Asia Sales Director at Riedel Communications. “Our team worked closely with technical partners to design and implement a system that delivered reliable, real-time communication across all headquarters and transmission centers.”.
