FutureScope, the new large-format dome in Hong Kong fuses art, technology and visitor participation in an interactive project with mapping created by Hong Kong multimedia artist Chris Cheung.

Inaugurated in Dream by the Sea Park, en Kai Tak, this fascinating sphere of sound, light and code makes its debut with Perpetual Records, an immersive and multisensory work created by Chris Cheung and his study Xcept together with the Japanese artist Daito Manabe.

From the 19 December 2025 until the 4 January 2026, FutureScope visitors transform the traditional experience of viewing art into an act of co-creation. Upon entering, Visitors' faces are scanned and their distinctive features and movements are translated into dynamic geometric patterns that appear on the 360° dome. As a complement to the visual part, uses adaptive white noise and an electric soundscape that transforms in response to visitors' facial expressions. The result is an immersive sound environment that seems almost sensitive, as if the dome breathed to the rhythm of its visitors.

A dreamlike and futuristic landscape

The concept is inspired by the Akashic Records, a mystical idea, rooted in Sanskrit (Akasha means sky or ether), of a cosmic archive that records all human experiences. but here, those metaphysical threads take on a digital form. Each scan, every look, every movement contributes to a living archive, transforming the inside of FutureScope into a dreamscape of shared data.

This installation invites visitors to enter a shared universe of constantly evolving images and captivating sounds., where your active participation helps shape and co-create the immersive experience of 360 degrees.
