Tennis fans and citizens of Turin (Italia) They were able to enjoy a visual spectacle during the ATP Finals 2025, held at the Inalpi Arena, where Filmmaster Events I play Sergio Cattaneo's serve (CUE Design) They created a unique show with the help of 40 Robe iBolts.

In addition to being a meeting and information point, a showcase for official ATP merchandise and a host of other tennis-related brands and activities, the fan zone offered a wide variety of food stalls. This year, the fifth time that the ATP Finals have been held in Turin, The tournament organizers also wanted to provide quality pre-match entertainment that could be enjoyed by all those waiting to enter the stadium to watch the tennis action..

Filmmaster Events, under the creative direction of Giulia Accatino and the content designer Romain Sabella, by TK2, created the storyboard and produced the video content, which was projected on a huge LED screen of 100 meters wide by 8 meters high. They asked Cattaneo, who they had worked with on previous projects, to design a high-impact light show to complement and support their visual narratives.

Sergio Cattaneo received the order and the first thing he thought was that he needed a series of large light beams that would fulfill two functions.. First of all, that would combine with the visual spectacle and create a sensation of spectacle and excitement and, in second place, that were visible from the entire city and surrounding areas. And for this, opted for the robotic Robe iBolts.

“It was my first choice… There really is nothing better right now., I love these devices!. They are the brightest and, therefore, the best for this job”, comments Cattaneo.Rob an ATP Finals (Turin) (Photo: Giorgia Welcome)

Shine from afar

He also based his choice on the experience of two other projects in which iBolts were used although in much smaller quantities., and I was very excited to be able to specify the 40 devices. “It was essential that these lights and the installation could be clearly seen from afar and that everyone attending the fan zone could enjoy them.. We wanted to highlight that this was a special event, since this important sporting event was held in the heart of the city!”.

The power and quality of colors iBolt were also instrumental in helping Sergio's light show generate the necessary energy and excitement.. He used a lot of white, cian (the corporate color of the ATP) and yellow, What did the tennis ball represent?. In this project, a very bright light source to counteract ambient luminescence emitted by the video screen and ensure that the beams remained prominent.

Pre-scheduled the shows (one main of 4 minutes long, plus a series of interludes 30 y 50 seconds) using Depence3, with the help of Alessandro Scotellaro in the CUE Design studios. Next, They had one night on site to adjust the focus and perfect the lighting, which included a laser that was also part of the light show, along with 17 strategically distributed smoke machines.

The fan zone light show had the desired effect. It attracted people to the city, kept the fans entertained and engaged while they waited for the next game and, with beams and video projections clearly visible from the surrounding hills, generated a lot of buzz on social media, which contributed to highlighting the city as the venue for this world-famous sporting event.
The lighting for the fan village show was supplied by lighting supplier ATS, and the iBolts were provided by Stage lights.
