Michael Phipps succeeds Takabumi Asahi as CEO of Christie Digital

The parent company of Christie, Ushio Group, Promotes Michael Phipps to President and CEO of Christie Digital Systems and its Affiliates.

Phipps will succeed Takabumi Asahi, who held the position for two years and continues as CEO of Ushio Group. The executive joined Christie in 2008, becoming financial director at 2019 and president and chief operating officer at 2024.

Takabumi Asahi points out that “in the last two years, Mike has successfully implemented operational initiatives and driven improvements in our product offering and processes, to better serve our customers and markets. His leadership has been fundamental in the transformation of the company, and his passion for the film and professional audiovisual sectors will lead the organization firmly into the future.”.
