Within the framework of an extensive comprehensive rehabilitation project, Electrosonic install an LED screen Leyard Europe en el Redhills Durham Miners’ Hall, an iconic historic building in the north east of England.

Redhills was founded in 1915, at the height of the British coal industry, and since then it has been a symbol of community, social progress and labor rights in the north east of England. Currently, The building has been conceived as the central axis of a new solidarity economy that puts the local population at the forefront, your skills and your creativity. At the same time, Guided tours are offered so that visitors can learn about its extraordinary past. In close collaboration with the Redhills team, Electrosonic's goal is to integrate audiovisual technology into the visitor experience to deepen their involvement without affecting the historic character of the building..

The heart of the exhibition hall is a screen LED Leyard VDS Complete DHD196, installed in an eight-panel wide by four-high configuration. With dimensions of 4,8 x 1,35 meters and a resolution of 3840 x 1080 and a pitch of 1,2 mm, the ultrawide format 32:9 immerses visitors in the scene with impressive visual depth. A surround sound system reinforces the sense of atmosphere and place.

Multipurpose space

He Interpretation Space It has been designed to bring to life the underground world of an active coal mine. The dim lighting, Support pillars and wall textures, reminiscent of an excavation front, transport visitors directly to the world of the miners. In addition to its role as immersive cultural experience, the space is multipurpose and is also suitable for presentations and commercial rental. Thanks to its complete integration into the audiovisual infrastructure of the main room, can be easily reconfigured for various purposes without losing its immersive character.

The experiential space meets the objective of the renovation by giving a voice to the miners and the communities that have marked the region, keeping the essence of the building intact. Thanks to planning, construction and continued support of Electrosonic, Redhills now offers visitors an experience that is as thoughtful as it is authentic and ensures its legacy is preserved for future generations.
