Samsung Electronics appoints Sunny Lee as president and CEO of the company in Europe
Sunny Lee, until now global vice president of the visual display sales and marketing division in Seoul of Samsung Electronics, has been appointed president and CEO of this South Korean multinational in Europe, coinciding with the beginning of the Samsung European Forum 2014 which is celebrated for the first time in Spain, specifically in Malaga, until next time 7 February.
The new European president and CEO of Samsung Electronics, Sunny Lee, replaces President SP Kim, who will be the new chief marketing officer and global head of B2B of the multinational.
Sunny Lee will now lead Samsung Electronics Europe, which has eighteen subsidiaries in twenty-seven European markets. The focus of this manager will be to increase the business area on the continent and maintain growth in the consumer area, with premium home devices, televisions, mobiles and tablets.
As Sunny Lee has pointed out, “The outlook in Europe is showing signs of improvement and it is a very exciting time for Samsung. During his thirty years of experience at Samsung, Sunny Lee has held different positions of responsibility in the company, where before his appointment as European president and CEO, He held the position of global vice president of the company's visual display sales and marketing division in Seoul.. Between 2009 y 2012, Lee was president of Samsung Electronics Germany.
