Mediapro projected the match between Barcelona and Ceuta in direct 3D

Mediapro carried out the screening, as a test in 3D and live, of the Copa del Rey match between FC Barcelona and AD Ceuta held at the Camp Nou last week. During the screening, prominent themes could be tested for a live 3D broadcast, such as: 3D graphics in real time, Dolby sound 5.1, the 3D realization language and stereoscopic adjustments in general for a high number of cameras.

Mediapro projected the FC Barcelona match against AD Ceuta corresponding to the Copa del Rey in 3D and live in the Imagina Building auditorium in Barcelona. For this broadcast, Mediapro 3D (Medialuso, I+D Media Cronomy and Media) deployed eight 3D camera positions with five robotic rigs, two fixed rigs and a 3D steady cam position. At no time were 2D to 3D conversion systems used.. The transmission was carried out in side-by-side format from the field to the Imagina auditorium, where a digital cinema projector was used that projected the match on an 8m wide screen and active glasses were used for 3D viewing.
