Nokia uses CGI technology to paralyze Times Square
Nokia has held a special event in New York to present its new smartphone, i.e. Nokia Lumia 900. The Finnish company has turned to hip hop singer Nicki Minaj to give life to a building in Times Square and create one of the largest LED screens ever seen.
The company Nokia wanted to celebrate the presentation of its new Nokia Lumia smartphone 900 all the way. On the occasion of said presentation, the telephone company has taken to the streets of Times Square in New York, y, in order to show all the color that your new item gives off, has invited the singer Nicki Minaj.
Nokia took control of nine of Times Square's famous screens to ensure the crowd was completely immersed in light and music.. Using the latest CGI technology, the i-Robot agency team has created one of the largest LED screens in the world, through which the characteristics of the Lumia were shown 900.
Dozens of visual artists worked day and night for more than three weeks to create the hundreds of stunning effects used on the giant screens.. The light show was presented by international superstar Nicki Minaj, who sang various songs from his new album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
All electronic screens were controlled from a mobile server powered by eight miles of cable distributed over four square blocks of the city.. Combining real dancers with images of 200 computer generated height feet, a Times Square building was transformed into a living entity. It was made to look like it was filling with water, for later “melt” in front of a crowd composed of more than 30.000 personas.
The avant-garde visual event held to launch the Nokia Lumia 900 was choreographed to an exclusive remix of 'Starships', Minaj's success, adapted for Nokia Lumia, performed live by DJ and producer Doorly.
