Zytronic's Zyprofilm flexible touch sensors, at the Polish Lech Poznan stadium
The interactive museum of the Poznan football stadium (Poland), clubhouse Lech Poznan, has turned to Zytronic's Zyprofilm flexible touch sensors, product based on projected capacitive technology (PCT) providing reliable, lightweight, large interactive display capabilities to storefronts and other applications with glass surfaces up to 20 mm. thick.
Zytronic, company specialized in the development and manufacture of technologies that optimize the performance of electronic display applications, has confirmed that its products, supplied through local distributor Elatec, are being used by the Polish display solutions provider RasterVision to add touch functionality to the interactive museum of the Poznan Football Stadium (Poland). With a capacity for 40.000 personas, The Poznan stadium is one of the largest in Poland and hosted several matches during the recent Euro Cup.
The stadium's interactive museum has been designed to offer home fans an entertaining and informative experience. The RasterTouch rear-projection touch display system used in the museum uses a flexible Zyprofilm touch sensor from 60 inches, based on projected capacitive technology (PCT ) de Zytronic. The system is designed to be mounted on the back surface of a rigid transparent display for, next, be operated by touching the front surface of the screen. with her, museum visitors can see photos and videos about the achievements of the local club -Lech Poznan- in recent years.
The rear projection setting means that the image passes through the screen instead of being reflected on it. In certain applications, This method offers important advantages, as large eye-catching and interactive display systems can be deployed quickly without the expense (and risks) associated with installing a large, expensive LCD screen in a public area. Besides, when the exhibition or promotion has ended, The touch film can be removed from the window or backing material and can be reused afterwards or at another event.
PCT based product for interactive displays
Zyprofilm is a flexible touch sensing film incorporating a PCT touch sensor array composed of micro-thin copper capacitors, combined with integrated rear projection film. Available in large sizes, either with an adhesive or hanging front face for semi-permanent or removable applications, Zyprofilm is designed for large interactive digital signage applications. PCT's ability to detect contact through thick coating materials, like glass or plastic, makes it highly optimized for fixing to the back surface of shop windows, screens in exhibition halls and museums, etc., where an interactive surface is required in an area with high public traffic.
Piotr Wesołowski, RasterVision Product Manager, has explained: “RasterTouch system allows users to take a virtual journey, spanning from the moment Lech Poznan was founded more than 90 years to modern times. The performance that Zytronic can offer through its PCT product offering ensures that we can provide our customers with a lightweight touch display system., Portable and low maintenance that requires no calibration and maintains high levels of response and accuracy.”
For your part, Ian Crosby, Director of Sales and Marketing at Zytronic, has commented: “Zyprofilm has proven time and time again to be an easy-to-implement touch sensing solution that maximizes design flexibility while delivering high levels of performance.. Its lightweight structure means it is easy to transport and the high degree of scalability allows display formats up to 82 inches achieve touch functionality.”
