Schneider Electric Offers New, More Powerful Pelco Digital Sentry Video Management Solution
Pelco by Schneider Electric has updated its Digital Sentry hardware platform, incorporating the new DSSRV network video recorder and DS NV network video management software and delivering 280 Mbps bandwidth for recording and viewing up to 128 IP cameras from Pelco and other manufacturers.
Schneider Electric has announced the launch and availability of its updated and improved Digital Sentry hardware platform from Pelco, with a new network video recorder (NVR) DSSRV powered with the latest processor and graphics technologies at its core. The DSSRV is optimized to offer essential support for the popular Digital Sentry DS NVs video management software., that has been loaded onto the hardware platform. It is a flexible and convenient video management system including NVR, plus analog camera support via optional direct-attach or network video encoders and support for up to 128 IP and analog cameras.
Pelco's updated Digital Sentry hardware replaces previously used hardware, making the product easier to set up, order, install and operate. With a 2nd generation Intel Core i7 and 8 GB of RAM, The DSSRV has sufficient processing power and memory to meet the demands of HD video recording and playback operations.. Your bandwidth 280 Mbps allows recording, play and export video from up to 128 IP cameras.
The main features of the new Digital Sentry solution:
• Network video recording from Pelco HD and SD IP streams and third-party cameras
• Optional hybrid expansion of up to 64 analog channels recording to D1 30/25 IPS
• 280 Mbps bandwidth available for recording, IP display and export
• Internal storage, accessible from the front, of 18 TB etc 12 TB with optional DVD
• Optional configuration for RAID 5 (RAID controller 5 Recommended optional for optimal performance) with removable hard drives
• Motorized cooling system to prolong hard drive life
• Front panel design provides at-a-glance assurance that system drives, network and hard drives are in working order

New Digital Sentry hardware platform supports Partner First program, being part of the integration platform for access control and other security-related applications. Schneider Electric offers three video management systems to choose from -DX, Digital Sentry and Endura- allowing customers to choose a system to meet their needs.
