Yamaha CL5 Digital Console Makes Outdoor Classic Debut
Yamaha's new CL5 digital mixing console debuted outdoors at a classical music concert at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe Festival (Germany).
The opening concert of the first biennial Ostwestphalen-Lippe art festival witnessed a “premiere” more for the new CL series of digital mixing consoles from Yamaha: the first time one was used at an open-air classical concert. Held on the grounds of the historic castle in the German city of Rheda, the show was the perfect start to the festival. With a full house and under the baton of musical director Alexander Kalajdzic, The Bielefeld Philharmonic Orchestra performed a varied musical selection, with pieces from the movie 1954 La Strada and Ottorino Respighi's symphonic poem The Pines of Rome.
