LG shows at IFA 2012 the WV70MD 3D video wall with FPR technology
The company LG Electronics has taken advantage of the IFA fair 2012 from Berlin to unveil the WV70MD 3D video wall, the largest 3D capable display of its kind and the first in the world to incorporate 3D Film Patterned Retarder technology (FPR). The WV70MD features the world's narrowest bezel -5,3 mm.-, that allows you to easily combine multiple screens to configure a large display that offers clear images, no distortion or color inconsistencies thanks to IPS panels.
LG has presented at the IFA fair 2012 the WV70MD 3D video wall, which is a configuration of displays 55 inches with the narrowest width between bevels in the world: 5,3 mm between adjacent panels. These ultra-thin bezels allow multiple displays to be easily arranged to create a single-screen effect on a massive scale.. LG's 3D video wall projects exceptional image quality and offers clear images thanks to In-Plane Switching panels (IPS) reducing distortion and color inconsistencies. Besides, White balance calibration for each screen can be controlled automatically using included software, providing consistent image quality across all displays. The video wall can be operated by a single multimedia source generator for all displays and guarantees smooth operation. 24/7 with up to 50.000 hours of use.
LG's WV70MD video wall is equipped with 3D Film Patterned Retarder technology (FPR), offering a flicker-free viewing experience using lightweight, battery-free 3D glasses. By utilizing LG's Smart Energy Saving technology, the video wall consumes up to 30 percent less electricity compared to other LED displays, reducing operating costs and leaving a smaller carbon footprint.
