Mapp3d Video Mapping, in it 50 Goimendi Residence Hall Anniversary

Mapp3d, company that offers video mapping projections on facades, as well as the installation of video mapping sets in indoor shows, has supplied a 12-inch video mapping structure×5 metros (23×10 tiles) for the celebration of 50 anniversary of the Goimendi Residence Hall, which they have attended 500 former students of this center of the University of Navarra.

The University of Navarra has celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Goimendi Residence Hall. Half a thousand former students have attended the celebration of this university institution founded in 1962, within whose walls they have resided 2.237 students of 41 countries of the 5 continents.

Among the central events organized for this celebration, the construction by the company stood out Mapp3d Video Mapping of a video mapping installation in the Barañáin Auditorium used to recreate a virtual visit in 3D and help the former students to remember so many memories and emblematic places of the school. The premise was not to make a mapping with the use of overloaded effects but rather a recreation of the school and its emblematic places to get the former students to relive their stay at the school..

For this, Mapp3d technicians modeled both the surroundings and the school and certain important areas of the center such as the Cruceiro, the stone (place where the school left its students the letters received from their families), the Fireplace Room ( which is where they held social gatherings, like dances, nativity set-ups, fiestas, etc,..), the Piano room, etc,… To start with the animation, They used the sound of the bell that the school used to notify the students of the arrival of a visitor..

The mapping projection was carried out on a structure formed by squares of fiberglass. 12 meters wide by 5 m. high (23×10 tiles) designed by Mapp3d VideoMapping and built by Peroni. The projection was done using the Catalyst v4 system on Mac Pro 8 cuore controlled everything together with lighting by a GrandMa and projected with a Panasonic projector 20.000 lumens HD, all in HD 1280x720p format. and facilitated by Fluge. Throughout the gala, musical interventions and performances, the structure was used to project both funds, live performance such as videos and photos of the school's past and present, documenting your 50 years of history.

The company has dedicated several months to getting the lighting, audiovisual content and sets ready.. A production backed by the applause of the former students every time one of those emblematic places that brought back so many memories appeared on stage..
