Embedded products provider ADLINK Technology has announced the launch of the COM Express Type module 6 with high-performance graphics and three independent display interfaces, that incorporates complete tools to accelerate application development time with advanced processing and graphic requirements.

ADLINK Express-IBADLINK Technology has presented its latest COM Express offer, el Express-IB, a COM module.0 R2.0 Type 6 High performance with an Intel Core i7/i5/i3 processor supporting Intel HD graphics integrated into the CPU with three independent displays. Un bus PCI Express x16 Generation 3.0 is available for general purpose PCIe or discrete graphics expansion (optionally configured as 2 x 8 o 1 x 8 + 2 x 4).

The Express-IB is intended for digital signage applications, government, army, healthcare and communications sector, and is ideal for customers with advanced processing and graphics performance requirements who are looking to reduce development time by outsourcing the base design of their system and focusing on application functionality.. Express-IB supports Intel Advance Vector Extensions (Intel AVX av1.0), with its intensive floating point applications, enhanced and also offers the benefits of higher bandwidth provided by USB 3.0.

Henk van Bremen, director of ADLINK Computer-on-Module Product Center, has manifested: “ADLINK's full range of COM Express that underpin the analysis tools that accompany Express-IB have been created to accelerate the development of our customers' applications.. These tools include the COM Express Type starter kit 6, allowing customers to continue support panel design and software verification at the same time, T6-DDI video adapter card, providing easy access to the DDI ports of the Express-IB, PCIe x16 to two x8 adapter card, and the LPC POST debug board”.

They are new in the COM Express Type module 6 three Display Digital Interface ports (DDI) with support for HDMI outputs, DVI y DisplayPort, plus VGA and dual-channel 18/24-bit LVDS displays. The Express-IB also offers Gigabit Ethernet, up to four USB ports 3.0, four USB ports 2.0, two SATA ports 6 Gb / s and two SATA ports 3 Gb / s (RAID 0/1/5/10) and support for SMBus and I2C. The module is equipped with AMI EFI BIOS supporting remote console, CMOS backup, hardware monitor and watchdog timer.

The Express-IB has an Intel Core i7/i5/i3 processor compatible with Intel Hyper-Threading technology (4 cores and 8 threads) and even 16 GB of dual-channel DDR3 memory 1333/1600 MHz dual-stacked SODIMM sockets to provide excellent overall performance. Intel's Flexible Display Interface and Direct Media Interface provide high-speed connectivity for the Mobile Intel QM77 Express Chipset.
