A three-dimensional Christmas on the façade of the Cibeles Palace congratulates the people of Madrid on Christmas
This Sunday, Madrid was the scene of a spectacular three-dimensional audiovisual montage projected on the façade of one of the most emblematic buildings in the city., the Cibeles Palace, headquarters of the capital city council.
Madrid City Council, in collaboration with Samsung, has transformed the façade of the Cibeles Palace into a magical spectacle: a fantastic light altarpiece, sound and color as a Christmas welcome party, in which the façade of the Town Hall headquarters has been transformed into a large three-dimensional Christmas. A technological display capable of making three-dimensional figures and surprising effects come to life before the excited eyes of children and adults.
In the three-dimensional light play projected on the façade of the Telecommunications Palace with which the city of Madrid ushered in the beginning of the Christmas holidays, snowmen were appearing, gift boxes and Christmas trees animated by spectacular light effects and laser projections, in a show that revolved around “the magic of christmas, wishes and dreams seen through the eyes of children”. Through special effects, messages have been projected such as “At Christmas you can make your dreams come true”.
Sound towers have been installed around the perimeter of the square., lighting and video to make representation possible. The main projection tower and the technical control booth were located next to the Army Headquarters., while the rest of the structures were on the sidewalks around the square. One of them has been placed on the Paseo de Recoletos boulevard, another in front of the House of America, another on the façade of Madrid City Hall and one in the area of the bus stops at the beginning of Paseo del Prado.
Before the Christmas greeting began, the winning story of the children's contest promoted among all the schools in Madrid was read., and ended with some fireworks.
