Christie announces at ISE 2013 the new Christie Phoenix open content management system
Christie attends the ISE fair in Amsterdam this year with a wide range of solutions and innovations for control rooms, among which the Christie Phoenix stands out, a control platform that uses existing network infrastructure in companies, redefining what a control room visualization system should be. This open content management system is ideal for utility command and control centers, government, security and control or transportation and telecommunications.
Within the framework of the tenth edition of the Integrated Systems Europe fair, John Stark, CEO of Collaborative Visual Solutions Christie, has served as master of ceremonies for the official presentation of Christie Phoenix, an open management system specifically designed for control room applications with which the American firm completely redefines the content management of the modern control room. The Christie Phoenix - essentially a network streaming solution- allows the user to seamlessly access and control information from virtually any location, to synthesize, generate and collaborate on quick and accurate decisions in the most critical situations. It is the perfect solution for those command and control centers that maintain a fast pace and have highly mobile and dispersed workforces., such as those dedicated to public service tasks, government, security and control or transportation and telecommunications, allowing them to take, with greater speed and precision, vital decisions in the most adverse environments.
Based on a single streaming application, on the Christie Phoenix node and in a robust PC user software environment, Christie Phoenix systems are simple and economical to set up, deploy and manage simultaneously from a single box. Particularly flexible and scalable, Christie Phoenix nodes can be combined to create display walls of virtually any size and perfectly synchronized, or used as a desktop processor to augment a single user's operating environment. PC software makes it easy to access and control Christie Phoenix streams anywhere you can connect to your network. As network streaming devices, Christie Phoenix nodes are fully compatible with most existing cameras and surveillance systems and a range of third-party video encoders.
Stark has assured that “Christie Phoenix opens a wide and innovative range of options to the audiovisual designer, joining the modern, mobile era of communication by transcending the physical barriers of the control room to encompass a global workspace. It proposes a redefinition of what a control room visualization system should be.. It doesn't matter if users participate from multiple locations, from a single office or in the field of mobile technology, Christie Phoenix connects them all, giving them complete access to and control of audiovisual content and data.”.
Collaboration across multiple spaces
The Christie Phoenix node consists of a unit of 19 inches mounted on a shelf, which comes with DVI input and output connectors, KVM and audio usable simultaneously. One Christie Phoenix node can encode two high-definition signals and decode up to twelve. Multiple Christie Phoenix nodes can be combined and synchronized to create a display wall of up to 128 Departures. The entries, with pixel resolutions of 1920 by 1080 each one, are encoded and placed on the network, allowing keyboard and mouse control at the same time (KVM) of those entries throughout the network, and all at a highly competitive price. Where access to output connectors is impossible, Christie Phoenix offers software-only VNC and RDP implementations for direct access to encryption, el stream, control and broadcast of content.
The desktop software that comes with the Christie Phoenix includes an intuitive drag-and-drop interface capable of simultaneously managing content on multiple display walls.. At the same time, can locally display Christie Phoenix content on a user desktop, while sharing content throughout the network with other Christie Phoenix users, those who have the ability to view and control the content. For audiovisual designers, offers maximum flexibility, replacing complicated hardware networks with a simple overlay network. To expand it, simply connect another Christie Phoenix unit, and to repair it, with removing and replacing the drive.
“Vital decisions are made at the speed of information. When events develop quickly, the ability for decision-makers and those tasked with providing an immediate response to see, manipulate, Exchange and display crucial information from virtually anywhere, It could be the factor that separates life from death.. Con el Christie Phoenix, those people can evaluate, contain and resolve crises faster than ever”, added John Stark.
The Christie Phoenix system is part of Christie's broad spectrum of control room solutions., including comprehensive video wall systems, video wall processors, high-brightness LED videowall engines as well as kits to adapt existing third-party videowalls and displays.
Collaborative visual solutions for critical mission tracking
Today's control rooms go beyond traditional display and monitoring, and Christie's collaborative visual solutions are breaking down boundaries and enabling increased collaboration for many of the world's mission-critical operations.. By integrating stunning zero-maintenance displays with the power of networking, Christie is completely redefining control room space and setting the stage for an increasingly distributed control room environment. In all types of business sectors, commercial and government, Christie is raising the bar to exceed the operational demands of today's control rooms.
