Digital signage and mobile phones for the fight against gender violence
El National Centre for Domestic Violence (Ncdv) of London has used digital signage technology for one of its awareness campaigns and for people to interact, through their mobile phones, to put an end to this social scourge.
London Euston station, equipped with five large-format digital signage screens from the DooH network JCDecaux, has been the scenario chosen by the National Centre for Domestic Violence (Ncdv, National Center for Domestic Violence) to cumin “Drag Him On” (drag it away) carried out by JWT London and produced by Grand Visual, in which people can intervene through their mobile phone to put an end to this situation.
The campaign, which has been active since the middle of last year in different London stations, runs on this station's five e-motion screens, in which passersby are encouraged to participate and put an end to gender violence by controlling the scene through their smartphone.
The campaign shows an abusive domestic situation of a man with a woman and the call to action “use your phone to stop it”. The user only has to enter the displayed web address or scan the QR code to interact immediately.
The same scene appears on the user's mobile screen as on the station displays and, through the same, You can control the characters by dragging the violent one through the five digital signage screens, that are synchronized to raise public awareness to intervene on behalf of the victim and act in any situation of this type with the NCDV.
The participant is able to control the characters by dragging the man away from the woman and onto the adjacent fences. The screens synchronize to urge people to report any domestic violence situations to the NCDV so they can intervene on the victim's behalf.
