Daktronics has opted for Harman technology, with JBL speakers and audio equipment from BSS and Soundcraft, to renew the sound infrastructure of Lane Stadium located at Virginia Tech University.

Lane Stadium is a football stadium with capacity for 66.233 fans that is located on the campus of the public university Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Blacksburg – Virginia), also known as Virginia Tech. The Virginia Tech Hokies United States college football team opened its doors in 1931.

After the remodeling carried out this summer in its display systems, that as we already reported in Digital AV Magazine, technology was chosen Panasonic to optimize the structure of your scoreboard and Cassell Coliseum video scoreboards; Now it's the turn of the sound systems. The company responsible for optimizing the audio has been Daktronics who has chosen the teams Harman for this project.

Daktronics has installed the speakers JBL VLA Series as well as the equipment of BSS y Soundcraft. The objective pursued with this renovation was to achieve a high-performance system and coverage from one seat to another. Daktronics selected JBL Professional VLA Series line array loudspeakers, that deliver high-impact sound beyond what can be achieved with traditional models.

The sound infrastructure that Daktronics has installed at the Lane Stadiun integrates 18 JBL VLA601H speakers, four JBL VLA301H, dos JBL PD5212 y dos JBL PD764.
