With the aim of showing the initiative of what aims to be the first sustainable highway in the world, the A15, that crosses the Netherlands, The façade of the largest skyscraper in the Dutch city of Rotterdam has been chosen for the largest video projection made to date in Europe.

This spectacular videomapping shows Natuur's proposal & Environment and the Environmental Defense (friends of the earth, nature and the environment) in the A-15 project: a sustainable highway crossing the Netherlands, in which stacked layers of earthworks are combined for construction, the city, cars driving along the wall and the areas they will cross.

Rotterdam Project A15-Sustainable HighwayThe facade of the also sustainable and recently inaugurated Rotterdam skyscraper, work by OMA Rem Koolhass, became the past 26 November on an impressive projection screen, the largest so far for this purpose in Europe, under the production of the Raul advertising agency & Rigel, with the videomapping carried out by Urbi et Orbi and the video production by the German company Flipbook, accompanied by the soundtrack created for this show by Star Studded Studios.

To launch this show, created to celebrate the beginning of a dream come true: the construction of the A-15 with environmentally friendly elements and the use of wind and solar energy, eighteen projectors have been used 12.000 Belgian firm lumens Barco, located in towers on the river bank.

The Dutch architect OMA Rem Koolhaas has turned the impressive Rotterdam skyscraper into the urban icon of the city, both for its unique structure, that combines geometric and asymmetrical aspects in a transparent glass façade, as for its dimensions and the use of sustainable elements.

The RotterdamInaugurated last 21 November after four years of construction, This vertical city designed by Koolgas on the banks of the Meuse River is supported by a base equivalent to a football field on which three towers rise. 150 meters high intertwined with each other, in what has been described as a 'vertical city', con 160 000 m² of interior space.

The three stacked and interconnected towers rise through 44 plants to 150 meters high, structured in different but overlapping blocks and united by a common plinth that joins the towers, to locate offices and business spaces (some 60.000 m²), 240 apartments, a commercial space, restaurant and a four-star hotel of the Spanish NH chain (con 285 rooms).

The Rotterdam, whose name corresponds to one of the ships of the Holland America Line transport company of this port city., It also aims to become a benchmark in sustainability and efficiency in the Netherlands., with the use of ecological elements, solar panels and wind turbines, air conditioning and refrigeration systems that use river water, etc.
