Videotel's digital signage provides interactivity to the screens of the Oklahoma Science Museum
The Oklahoma Science Museum has replaced its multimedia playback system and has incorporated the digital signage solution that Videotel has developed expressly for this type of applications and which includes the HD2600 media player and the Inter-Play module (IPM).
For more than half a century, the Oklahoma Science Museum (Science Museum Oklahoma) has shown its visitors the importance of science through interactive exhibits and fun learning experiences.
This cultural center has a wide network of screens spread throughout all the rooms whose content was broadcast thanks to standard DVD players.. However, The demands of the environment meant that this equipment had to be replaced very frequently.. This is why they decided to implement the digital signage solution for museums of Videotel, integrating HD2600 media player and Inter-Play module (IPM), and provide your screens with true interactivity.
With the combination of these two tools it is possible to activate the content remotely, via a motion sensor or with Videotel's wave-to-play device.
The HD2600 player is ideal for this type of environment where a solution is required that allows participation, inform and educate visitors, In addition, it is built with a robust design and is compatible with any type of screen.
“The exhibitions held in the museum require players that are capable of functioning for 10 hours or more seven days a week. Before installing the Videotel systems, the equipment was replaced every few months. Besides, It offers functionalities that facilitate our operation, such as turning on automatically in the morning., "that everything can be managed very easily with the control buttons on the activator and that allow different motion sensors to be connected.", explica Gary Jones, exhibits technician at the Science Museum Oklahoma.
