The channel supports the integrated and value proposition in IMagine event for the Pro AV and digital signage market
The first day of IMagine event, hosted by Ingram Micro's Pro AV and DC/POS divisions, has had the support of more than 240 distribution channel professionals and clients, who have positively valued the enhancement of the wholesaler and 27 manufacturers in these sectors around integrated solutions for vertical markets to improve their business opportunities.
The second edition of IMagine event, who started his first day at the plant yesterday 42 from Torre Espacio Madrid, with the assistance of more than 240 representatives of the distribution channel and customers and which will continue this morning, has not only surpassed in a 70% last year's call made by the wholesaler Ingram Micro and its division Pro OFF and digital signage, but has had a positive acceptance of the new format of the event and the business model proposed around integrated solutions from twenty-seven manufacturers for vertical markets and the synergies with the division DC/POS of the company.
This is what Jaime Soler has pointed out, managing director de Ingram Micro: “We have managed to consolidate this event with the synergies between the Pro AV and DC/POS divisions, with the aim of contributing ideas, integrated solutions and not isolated products and, above all, business generation for the channel. We are a big company, “But we want to be in the details and help our clients find business opportunities in a profitable and safe way with specialized professionals”.
In this sense, Soler explained the changes made to the company's organization to face “the change in trend that is occurring this year in the market., “after very difficult years”, with divisions and teams specialized in sales organization, management with manufacturers and generation of business opportunities and projects, financing…, “which makes us the wholesaler that offers the widest range of solutions and manufacturers for the channel”.
New service catalog
In this line, Pro AV sales manager an Ingram Micro, Alejandro Rincon, He highlighted his satisfaction with the positive trajectory that this division has had since it was officially presented last year “meeting the objectives, with more than 1.500 clients who have trusted us in this first year, and the satisfaction that our proposal to create value solutions for the channel was aligned with market demands”.
In addition to new additions from manufacturers such as Samsung or Sharp to this business proposal, Rincón highlighted the evolution of this division and the work of the entire team in training programs and “a catalog of support services to provide advice on project prescription and specialized support to the channel, since a project is a different solution for each client and specialization is vital”.
These valuable services include software configuration and installation and content creation., even financial renting services, personalized training “where manufacturers train us in their technologies to transfer this specialized knowledge to the channel”, as well as in the logistics laboratory “with a team of engineers who help our partners adapt the ad hoc equipment, with customization of screen prints on the devices, specific labeling, firmware updates, etc”.
Synergies for complete solutions
For Rincon, “the synergies between the Pro AV and automatic identification divisions, data capture and point of sale technologies provided by DC/POS represent completing the entire solution and a qualitative leap for the channel, both by verticals and by business model, with cross-selling.
Specifically, Sergio Patino, country manager IM Data Capture/Point of Sale, highlighted the business possibilities that this market offers to the channel and added services “since we have been, with a mature and consolidated proposal, to which new countries and top-level manufacturers in this sector continue to join”.
The head of the DC/POS division highlighted that this global presence, with specialists and technicians and a logistics platform based in Germany, where configuration services are also offered, product configuration, etc. to help the channel, “allows us to give a global approach to projects, like those that are already being carried out by Spanish companies in Latin America and Europe, with the support of 46 manufacturers”.
Solutions and markets exhibition
Following this wholesaler strategy, The second edition of IMagine event has had as a novelty this year the presentation of “an entire exhibition of practical solutions for end users within different vertical markets that are treated as a practical work day to learn about the needs and demands of the channel and help them throughout this project.”, points out Alex Rincón.
As already mentioned Digital AV Magazine, This exhibition area showed real scenarios such as a supermarket and store, a hotel, a hospital, an airport, a school and a gym with the solution integrated by the different manufacturers of the divisions of professional audiovisual solutions and digital signage and automatic identification and point of sale, which this post will discuss in detail.
Besides, The professionals had at their disposal the knowledge of the technological proposal of the suppliers in different workshops.
