Lighting Training Center: first lighting training center in Spain created by Aido and Aniled
The Spanish Association of the LED Industry (Aniled) and the Technological Institute of Optics, Color and Image (Echo) have launched the first high-level training center in lighting in Spain, denominado Lighting Training Center (LTC), based in Valencia.
High-level training of professionals linked to the lighting sector, from the hand of expert teachers, and promotion of LED technology are the main objectives of the Lighting Training Center, created by Aniled y Echo, in which online and in-person courses will also be taught through this platform, technical training days, etc. to improve the knowledge of users in this sector.
The initiative of these institutions is based on the experience in this industry and the constant evolution that lighting is experiencing., with new technologies that are increasingly more energy efficient and convergent with control systems, as well as quality and installation regulations, for which training is essential. For this reason, LTC aims to be “a tool at the service of the most 100.000 lighting industry professionals, “so that they get the best training to carry out their work”.
This is what Mario Prieto points out, general secretary of Aniled: “Training is one of the most important objectives of our association and is a challenge as it is an emerging industry in continuous innovation., where there is a shortage of qualified professionals. This problem will increase in the future because, currently, "Training programs are not enough to meet the needs of the LED industry.".
For Emilio Pérez, director of Aido, “This new tool is a pioneering channel that helps us continue with this training work, in which Aido has been offering its advisory services to SMEs in the lighting sector for more than twenty-five years and developing activities as specific as optical and product design., photometric characterization tests of luminaires and lighting systems, optical simulations, lighting calculation software, as well as the development of R&D projects”.
LTC will begin its training activity next 16 June with the course “Practical applications of Led technology in lighting”, with a duration of 32 hours, whose registrations are already open.
