Robe to light up Glasgow opening and closing ceremonies 2014
The opening and closing ceremonies of the 20th edition of the Commonwealth Games, that will be held from 25 from July to 3 August in Glasgow (Scotland), They will have Robe lighting systems for their staging.
The 20th edition of the Commonwealth Games (Glasgow 2014) warm up for its inauguration next 23 July. An event expected to be the largest festival of sport and culture in Scotland's history, and which is expected to be attended by more than a million spectators. The opening ceremony will take place at Celtic Park Stadium and will feature a cast of 2.000 artists, in addition to 4.500 athletes from 71 nations, with a live audience of over 40.000 people and a television audience that is expected to exceed one billion. The closing ceremony will be at Hampden Park Stadium on 3 of August.
The development of these ceremonies will be carried out by the Jack Morton Worldwide agency and Robe will also participate by supplying 500 lighting equipment for staging. Y, for it, is working with lighting designer Tim Routledge who was the main lighting programmer for the London Summer Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies 2012.
The Robe devices that will shine in Glasgow 2014 will include Pointe units, CycFX, LEDWash 600, LEDBeam 100 and the recently announced LEDBeam 1000, as well as its LightWare battery-powered devices.
