Breeze, the largest highway concessionaire and manager in Portugal, has updated its video control system with 44 new screens 55 inches, in video wall configuration 40 square meters, of the Panasonic TH-55LFV5W model, to show real-time images of everything that happens on the roads.
Safety and control on the road is Brisa's main priority, the largest highway management and concessionaire company in Portugal, that from the five concessions it has, it monitors from its Operational Control Center a traffic of more than 16.000 daily users, taking care not only of mobility management but also responding to the usual unforeseen events and accidents.
The company has decided to renew the display system of this control center, for which Brisa Innovation and Technology has developed a Smart solution based on Panasonic display technology, in collaboration with Prosonic, distributor of this manufacturer's systems in the Portuguese market and responsible for the supply and installation of the new equipment.
Specifically, The chosen solution is based on the new TH-55LFV5W video wall screens from Panasonic, supplied by your distributor in Portugal Prosonic, that have been arranged in a gigantic rectangular mosaic of 40 square meters, composed of a total of 44 displays de 55 inches, in which real-time images of everything that happens on the roads for which the Brisa group has the concession are shown.
As Pedro Sobral explains, responsible for the project at Brisa Innovation and Technology, “Our previous video wall gave us a lot of problems. Now, however, The new Panasonic screens offer us a more modern appearance and lower consumption, which increases the availability of the operating tools of the Brisa Operational Control Center at maximum power”.
The choice of these screens came from “the unique features offered by the brand,” says Sobral., that have made it the reference option in terms of displays for video walls in the European and national audiovisual market.. Besides, “The quality of assistance and support from Prosonic and Panasonic in this project was one of the main reasons that made us choose their services”
The TH-55LFV5W displays are specially designed for 24-hour operation.×7, with resistance to shocks and falls thanks to a metal structure that protects them against breakage. Besides, They have a fine frame (of 5,3 mm. distance between content) that if you decide to distribute the same image between different screens, practically no discontinuity is seen in the image.
In this regard, Oriol Massague, product manager de Panasonic Visual System Solutions, clarifies that “the TH-55LFV5W model is specially designed for the control room market, thanks to its anti-glare surface that prevents reflection to make information clearer and more visible. Direct LED backlighting maintains the reproduction of black tones in dark areas and displays bright areas more vibrantly, while the IPS panel offers a wide viewing angle from any side”.
For your part, João Farinha, member of the integrated solutions division of Prosonic, assures that the overall assessment of this project “is excellent and Brisa's satisfaction is also excellent.”, since these Panasonic screens more than meet your requirements in terms of the image quality required for the video wall, with very low maintenance costs”.
