Charmex begins its expansion process in Latin America with activity in Peru and Colombia
The markets of Peru and Colombia will initially focus the activity of the wholesaler Charmex in Latin America, as part of its expansion project in the region, which will also participate in the TecnoMultimedia InfoComm audiovisual contest, which will be celebrated next November in the Colombian capital.
As a continuation of its consolidation project in the main emerging markets of Latin America, Charmex, Spanish wholesaler in the AV sector, has announced its participation in the most important monographic event dedicated to the audiovisual industry held in Latin America: TecnoMultimedia InfoComm Colombia, which will take place on the days 6 y 7 next November in Bogotá.
The edition 2014 TecnoMultimedia InfoComm Colombia, con 2.000 m2 of exhibition, It will have the presence of more than fifty leading companies in the audiovisual sector., a context that the Spanish wholesaler did not want to miss, which attends for the first time with the aim of presenting itself on the international scene as a valuable firm capable of becoming an indispensable element in the main AV technology markets in Latin America.
This Charmex expansion strategy in this region takes two specific locations as its starting point., as Iñigo González explains, sales manager and director of international expansion in this company: “after having carried out market surveys in various Latin American countries, we have decided to focus our activity in Peru and Colombia, taking into account the favorable economic situation of these countries and also taking into account the particularities that take place in the AV sector, as well as in their respective distribution channels”.
In this sense, González highlights the activity that numerous Spanish companies are carrying out in this region and that “with increasing frequency, They request our participation to oversee the deployment of their infrastructures and audiovisual projects., so we need to have a local presence in these markets and establish alliances with companies in situ”.
Besides, The good results of the actions carried out by Charmex in both Peru and Colombia have been a driving force in making this decision., to which is added that “we have detected needs in the operational and product context of the AV market, as well as proven the good moment of development that these countries are experiencing. Our objective in Colombia and Peru is to transfer and adapt the Charmex business model to the local market., carrying out wholesale work that provides added value to the audiovisual sector as we do in Spain, our natural market”, González points out.
From the perspective of structuring an optimal channel for the supply of AV technology to the markets of Peru and Colombia, Charmex has established various actions that have led to the signing of distribution agreements with some of the manufacturers with which it operates in Spain., with the aim of expanding the marketing framework of its products in these countries.
Specifically, González emphasizes that they will market “Vivitek video projection products; We will carry the entire line of Sahara interactive products for classrooms and companies, in addition to its software solutions. Also, we will include the advanced Evoko room reservation systems; WePresent interconnectivity solutions, as well as all the part related to the Traulux and Trautech connectivity systems, including sound connections for classrooms”.
Regarding the opening of another important line of business for Charmex such as digital signage in Peru and Colombia, Iñigo González points out that they will address it with the solution in 'the cloud' Mi-Cloud, developed by the wholesaler itself with Samsung's MagicInfo application.
