The historic center of Toledo stars in the arrival of spring with 'La noche toledana', a great offer of concerts, theater and projection shows, light and sound on the facades of its buildings and monuments. This cultural commitment of the city council has become a benchmark, which this year has included the participation of the public in the interactive videomapping carried out by Ibercover, in homage to 'Don Quixote'.

Twenty-four uninterrupted hours of cultural activities, music and entertainment around the proposal 'La noche toledana', celebrated from the past 24 al 25 April, They have turned the historic center of the capital of La Mancha into an environment full of magic, light and color, and an annual reference in the cultural calendar of the Toledo City Council when spring comes.

On this occasion, two important cultural anniversaries mark this cultural initiative: the V centenary of the death of Saint Teresa of Jesús and the IV of the second part of 'Don Quixote', and most of the wide range of free outdoor concerts has revolved around them., theater, exhibitions, audiovisual shows and other activities in which citizens and tourists have been able to participate.

One of the shows that have starred in 'La noche toledana' has been the interactive videomapping carried out on the façade of the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, with light and sound themes linked to the work of Miguel de Cervantes, and in which the public has been able to participate by creating projections about it.

Nearly 200 m2 of the monastery façade have served as a gigantic screen for this interactive visual experience with a quixotic theme, whose address, design and production has been carried out by the Toledo company Ibercover Studio, producer of events and audiovisual shows, with company design and interactivity Swordsantacruz.

As Manuel Horischnik explains, responsible for the Ibercover project, “Thanks to technology it is now possible to create three-dimensional scenarios in real time, at the same time that analog stimuli become digital effects”.

Specifically, The audience was able to control the projections to change the lighting, the colors and even 'tear down' the door of San Juan de los Reyes through a series of wooden and iron tools (levers, cranks and bellows) and sensors built especially for this occasion by Espadaysantacruz, promoting interactivity and your experience with this innovative cultural proposal.

Public participation is essential for the creation of the audiovisual piece. This is how the imaginary of the 16th century unfolds and transforms before our eyes into a novel and immersive spectacle.”, subraya Horischnik.

To perform interactive videomapping, Ibercover has used a projector Barco Say HDQ-2K40 40.000 lumens, for front projection and located at 7 meters high, together with the Watchout system of Dataton to perform signal adjustment and triggering, and technology Unity for the real-time creation of the interactive scenario and different sensors in the mechanical gadgets used by the public.

In audio and lighting, they have been used 12.000 W sound Norton Audio staked (L+R), con 6 top and 6 graves, as well as several LED projectors for the setting of the show.
