NanoLumens brings innovative visual solution to CenturyLink Technology Center of Excellence
The new Unique NanoWrap solution creates a dynamic visualization space in the three-story high atrium and other spaces of the North American IT services provider's new technological center of excellence.
CenturyLink, North American multinational specialized in hosting, cloud and IT services for companies, has recently inaugurated a Center of Excellence for new technologies to provide its clients with improvements in their management, technological analysis and consulting, as well as in the more than 55 international data centers in which it operates and in its fiber optic network.
The new center, pending Leed energy certification, Features the first electrochromic glass atrium in the United States, of some 3.400 square meters distributed over three floors, in which a spectacular NanoLumens dynamic display system has been installed, bright enough to withstand ambient sunlight.
This innovative glass atrium leverages nanotechnology and intelligent pre-programming systems to automatically change lighting in response to external conditions and user preferences, eliminating the need for blinds or curtains, as with the Unique NanoWrap display solution from NanoLumens, also installed in an innovative way.
Specifically, The three columns that span the three stories high of the atrium have been 'wrapped' with 5mm NanoWrap Led screens from this manufacturer, which form a circular panel of 42 inches in diameter to cover the vertical surface of each column.
These Led panels, composed of thousands of Nixels, NanoLumens' patented display module, They are integrated with the architectural elements, thus combining design and technology.. Each visual column provides a continuous stream of dynamic video that is visible throughout the entire lobby and from any angle of the lobby.
Each screen can display different video content or the three columns can play it synchronously, that are fed with an IPTV content delivery system over fiber Cisco-AppSpace cloud based.
NanoWraps screens are attached to the columns by a unique circular mounting system, made by the audiovisual integrator American AVL, based in Los Angeles. “CenturyLink wanted to make this lobby a unique technological experience for its clients and visitors,” says one of those responsible for the project.. “We looked at a lot of possibilities and decided that the columns would have a technological role as an integral part of the aesthetic design.. If we installed conventional flat screens it would have ruined the dynamic visual flow, but the flexibility of NanoWraps, that we could literally wrap around the columns, “He offered us the solution we needed and the result is spectacular”.
Ben Cating manifests himself in this line, consultant Idibri Consulting, company responsible for the design and planning of this project hired by CenturyLink, by ensuring that “NanoLumens Led screens create an impressive effect in the lobby never seen before.”. It is more than just an audiovisual installation: “It is a visual technological achievement.”.
NanoWrap screens also offer high energy efficiency, with low consumption, a fundamental element also for this CenturyLink center, pending Leed certification.
