Greencities 2016 focuses on ICT and digital content with the support of AMETIC
The seventh edition of this contest, which will take place in Malaga 5 al 6 October, It is co-organized by the Association of Electronics Companies, OF, Telecommunications and digital content to address developments and trends in the comprehensive management of smart cities through technological tools and solutions.
The general director of the Malaga Fairs and Congress Palace (Fycma), Yolanda de Aguilar, and the general director of the Association of Electronics Companies, Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Digital Content (AMETIC), Benigno Lacort, have signed the collaboration agreement for the co-organization of the next edition of Greencities, Urban Intelligence and Sustainability Forum, whose seventh edition will be held on 5 al 6 October 2016.
With this agreement, the strategic collaboration in the show is consolidated, organized by Fycma (dependent on Malaga City Council) y AMETIC, which includes the celebration of the ICT and Sustainability Forum, which will address news and trends related to the comprehensive management of cities through ICT tools and solutions.
Greencities thus consolidates the objective of being a meeting point between the business community and municipal public demand., with the participation of prominent representatives of public administrations and institutions, associations, professional groups and professional associations linked to sustainable construction and rehabilitation, energy efficiency and the development of smart cities with new technologies.
In addition to the exhibition area and the space for networking, in which last year they held around a thousand B2B meetings, As in previous editions, the show will host around two hundred speakers from the public and private spheres to analyze the challenges, tools and opportunities offered by the progressive implementation of the smart city model in cities, and what this means to improve the competitiveness of companies.
In the edition 2016 of this event, The contents and strategic lines of the conference program are articulated around the ICT areas & Sustainability; to the Latin American Forum of Smart Cities and GreenLab, to which is also added the scientific communications program, one of the main Spanish calls for innovation and research within the field of urban sustainability.
Among other entities, the Inter-American Development Bank (BID) will be present this year at Greencities, through a panel of experts that extend-Andalusian Foreign Promotion Agency, dependent on the Ministry of Economy and Knowledge and golden partner of the event, organized in the Latin American Forum of Smart Cities, integrated into the ICT and Sustainability Forum, in addition to promoting the transfer of knowledge between Andalusian and international entities in the GreenLab space.
