Hard Summer Festival 2016 entrusted its lighting design to Stage-Tech and Elation

The large event production company Stage-Tech has been responsible for the comprehensive design and lighting assembly, video and structures of this event dedicated to hip hop and electronic music held in the city of Fontana, in California.

The lighting design and assembly carried out by Stage Tech for editing 2016 de Hard Summer Music Festival, held at the Fontana City Speedway, in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, has counted on 32 Platinum FLX hybrid moving heads and more 140 manufacturer's devices Elation Professional.

It's a festival, which has brought together thousands of hip hop and electronic music fans, It had a main stage, called Hard Stage, and another smaller one (Pink Stage) through which artists like Ice Cube have gone through, Major Lazer, Dillon Francis y Zeds Dead, inter alia.

Charley Guest, of Stage-Tech and responsible for the lighting design of the Hard Stage stage, along with Ryan Burke as operator during the concerts, explains that “we have used 32 Elation Platinum FLX hybrid moving head units, in a design that alternated these devices with Wash-type LED moving heads on independent truss sections, mounted practically vertically and with the luminaires directed towards the public”.

Its luminosity and versatility to be used as a Wash, Beam and Spot have been the main reasons for selecting Platinum FLX, according to this expert. “We carried out most of the aerial projection and tracer effects on this stage with this moving head.”, “I have been present in practically all the scenes and lighting programs of the festival”.

Twelve Elation ACL moving heads have also been used 360 Matrix , located on different truss structures on the main Hard Stage stage, while in the Pink Stage there have been twenty-four ACL units 360 Bar to provide spectacular visual effects.

The Hard Stage lighting design also featured 38 Platinum Beam 5R Extreme moving head units from this manufacturer, distributed throughout the structure installed on the stage, and with the same number of Cuepix Panels used to mark, as blinders of great luminosity and with pixel-mapping effects, the ends of the different Led video screens, in which abstract shapes were shown and that made up the design of this stage.
