A virtual assistant speeds up security checks at Melilla airport
This is the second implementation carried out by Aena, after the one at the Mallorca airport. This hologram of a woman is located at the access to the filters and emits different messages and instructions to pass the security control, such as the regulations for the transportation of liquids in hand luggage and the behavior of the traveler.
Aena has launched a virtual assistant at Melilla airport to provide information to travelers at the security filters located in the departure area.
This system aims to streamline the security process and improve the user experience, providing you with detailed information from the first moment so that, upon reaching the control, all your belongings are ready for inspection.
This is a hologram of a woman, located right at the access to the filters, that issues different messages and instructions to pass the security check, such as the regulations for the transportation of liquids in hand luggage and the behavior of the traveler.
Through an adjustable digital signage system, The multimedia platform makes it easier for travelers to receive safety messages in Spanish, english and french, just before passing through the security filter.
This is the second airport that is equipped with this technology. At the end of 2015, Aena installed in Palma de Mallorca, in each of its security filters (North and South) to inform passengers about the steps they must take before entering security control.
The equipment installed in the latter is a Virtual Assistant Ultra model from tensioner and are located before reaching the automatic boarding pass reader doors., so that the passenger can receive instructions on how to prepare to pass the security filters, from that very moment. The messages are broadcast in four different languages: español, Catalan, english and german.
The Tensator Virtual Assistant Ultra has a proximity sensor, so if it does not detect moving people approaching, it stops playing the messages, automatically activating again with the arrival of users.
