Adidas Colombia carries out an interactive experience to present its new line of sports shoes

The Colombian company Vinyl Lab used Pandoras Box media server Christie to produce an interactive experience at a promotional event in Bogotá (Colombia) of the new Adidas soccer shoes.

The action, called Adidas Laser Challenge, It took place in the Santafé shopping center, one of the largest in the country, located in Bogotá, and consisted of a tunnel with laser beam obstacles that the participants had to cross in a certain time, without touching them. The idea was inspired by the movie Entrapment (The ambush in Latin America), con Sean Connery y Catherine Zeta-Jones, which contains a scene where the American actress stars in a similar experience in a laser maze.

To carry it out, the young agency & Rubicam Colombia, hired by Adidas for this action, The specialist in the conceptualization of emerging technologies and the development of digital content was thought of for its start-up., Vinyl Lab, which has extensive experience in designing innovative actions for brands such as Mazda, HP, Huawei y Renault, among others.

“Adidas was looking for an interactive action to promote its two lines of soccer shoes., Ace and Chaos, that represented technology and skill, and the agency showed us as an example a sequence from the movie Entrapment”, explains Eduardo Ortega, Vinyl Lab CEO.

Vinilo Lab developed the entire application and executed the technical part of the interactive experience, using different elements, like Christie Pandoras Box, green diodes, una interface DMX, six Led moving heads, robotic lighting synchronized with lasers and music, a Haser smoke machine, sound 5.1 and three monitors.

Christie Pandoras Box was the fundamental tool to manage those systems and synchronize all the action. Specifically, a combination of Pandoras Box Quad Pro was used, Panorras Box Manager STD. The latter managed the participants' times, the results of the 10 best positions, the sensors to activate and deactivate the diodes, the difficulty of the levels, the database synchronized with the contestants' times, and the music.
