The audio design is based on the xS Series of d&b audiotechnik, integrated by 5S speaker, since the coaxial dispersion adapted to the environment, and a 12S-SUB, achieving a wide spectrum listening experience.

The restaurant Le Bernardin has maintained the four stars awarded by the New York Times since it opened in 1986 and has three Michelin stars since 2005. Eric Ripert, your chef, runs this restaurant, located on the edge of Broadway in New York City, from 1994 and takes the quality of the venue's sound very seriously.

“In the restaurant sector, To have four stars the most important thing is the details. Sound is a very important part of a restaurant environment, especially at the beginning of the night, when the room is not yet full and, after, again at the end of the night. Appropriate music and great sound quality are essential to set the mood. When we organize private parties the sound is more present, So it is clear that having a good audio system is key to making the experience and the evening a success.”.

Ripert hired the company The Media Group, that has everything you need to offer customized music programs and experience in the design and installation of professional audio systems.

Your co-owner, Ernie Lake, based its design on the xS Series of d&b audiotechnik for this large room with capacity for about a hundred covers. Size was the main consideration in choosing the 5S speaker as the coaxial dispersion suited the listening environment. A 12S-SUB has also been placed and connected, achieving a wide spectrum listening experience.

“This is not about weak background music playing, because the content is selected and prepared with care and the diner must be able to comfortably hear the conversation and identify the tonality of the music.”, comments Ernie.
