Indiana University has embarked on an ambitious project to expand its facilities and build two new schools: Media School y Global and International Studies Building. In each of these environments, The design team responsible for the projects wanted to ensure that each of these centers enhanced the enthusiasm of students, teachers and visitors capturing their attention. And it has done it with large format visual solutions, located in key locations, using the technology of Nanolumens.

“The new Media School is located in one of the oldest buildings on the Indiana University campus. Originally, was built in 1907 as the university library and has been transformed to become a modern center equipped with the latest technology for learning. The NanoLumens screen gives new life to the space in which it has been installed and which is one of the most animated and where there is the most public attendance.", explains Sarah Schuler, presents and principal architect of VPS Architecture, company in charge of the project.

The solution implemented in the Media School surprises students and visitors who enter the building and provides them with all kinds of information and news about the campus. In addition, It is also used for presentations or television broadcasts and, even, displayed with six different screens through a split screen interface.

This screen 2,5 mm pixel pitch offers a resolution of 2,880×1.536 and is built for more than 13 millions of diodes (three per pixel) a 960 frames per second and is dependent on 240 circuit boards and 1.440 magnets. “The excellent build quality is evident when you consider that there are close to 40 millions of solder points on this screen 27,60 square meters.

Regarding the seven information screens located in the Global and International Studies Building, These are used to show the recognition of all graduates of the university. Supports that capture the attention of everyone who passes by as they have visual elements in constant movement.
