The Light and Avant-garde Festival returns to Salamanca with the new +Luz section

for four nights, Visitors and residents of Salamanca will find works by renowned artists in the streets of the city., pieces presented to the international videomapping contest and creative and documentary proposals developed by young people from the universities of this World Heritage city.

Specifically, some of the emblematic spaces that will serve as a canvas for the works of the Festival of Light and Avant-garde 2017 They are the City Council, located in the Plaza Mayor; the House of Shells; the convent of San Esteban and the Plaza de Anaya, next to the New Cathedral.

In addition to its core programming, This year the festival is enriched with the +Luz section, a parallel cultural program starring the main artistic spaces of Salamanca: DA2, House Lis, Adora Calvo, Espacio Nuca and La Salchichería, that have light as the guiding thread of their proposals.

The competition section has already opened the call for independent artists and national and international companies dedicated to the field of audiovisual production and creation to present their creations., that will be displayed on the façade of the Salamanca City Hall, and will be submitted to the ruling of a professional jury, along with a popular vote.

As in the last edition, Young creators from the city's two universities will have a prominent space to promote their talent, for which they will have the façade of the Casa de las Conchas to exhibit their works.
