Wholesaler EET Group appoints Søren Drewsen as new CEO of the company
The manager succeeds John Thomas, who after twenty years as head of this European distributor has decided to retire and join the board of directors.
The appointment of Søren Drewsen as the new CEO of EET Europarts, distributor of IT products in Europe based in Copenhagen (Denmark), will be effective from the next 1 of August, when replacing the current person in charge, John Thomas, who will join the board of directors of the Scandinavian wholesaler and remain a shareholder alongside majority owner FSN Capital.
Bo Rygaard, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EET Europarts, has thanked John Thomas for the work of the company to make it “a leader in the distribution of IT products in Europe, and although I regret your decision, I fully respect her, and I am at the same time delighted that he is joining the board of directors, ensuring from that position that the new CEO does not have complications”.
Soren Drewsen, senior engineer from the University of Copenhagen and MBA from Stanford University, brings extensive experience in executive management of different ownership structures in multinational operations and industries, and joins EET Group as vice president and group general manager and head of Northern Europe at the Icopal/BMI group.
As the new manager has pointed out, “I am very impressed with the development that the EET Group has had in the last fifteen years and excited to join this company. I look forward to taking the company to the next phase of growth and delivering on the agreed strategy.”.
Specifically, The wholesaler structures its activity into five product divisions: ProAV and digital signage solutions; POS and auto-ID products; video surveillance and security; spare parts and accessories for computers, printers and mobile phones, as well as for home entertainment, with a total of three hundred different brands.
