Mediacorp opts for Tripleplay's solution to offer IPTV streaming on its new campus

In its new facilities it has deployed the Tripleplay digital media platform that incorporates complete IPTV capabilities, para desktop y set top box, including live transcoding for multiple devices and formats, and user access controls.

Mediacorp brings together a group of media companies in Singapore covering environments such as television, radio, interactive and editorial media. The new Mediacorp campus has been designed as a collaboration space for employees, a center for creativity and a destination for public engagement.

As part of your new broadcast and IT infrastructure, Mediacorp wanted a modern solution, with future perspective, for delivery of IP-based high-definition digital content across campus.

Besides, The solution needed to be a next-generation platform that, In addition to meeting the project objectives, it responded to IT security requirements., including inclusion of failover, server redundancy, Complete centralized management of channel line-ups, user access and content delivery.

“Our Japanese architect Maki created a beautiful campus with many workspaces. We want to ensure that we also offer a modern technological solution, high quality, reliable and secure. A single platform solution to encode and deliver our TV and radio content to any of our employees' laptops. Mediacorp chose the digital media platform of Tripleplay incorporating full IPTV capabilities, para desktop y set top box, as it satisfies Mediacorp requirements by including live transcoding for multiple devices and formats and user access controls.

IPTV streams are delivered through Microsoft IE 11.0 and the Media Video Player app (MVP) for desktop users and through Amino Set Top Boxes it is possible to access via TV.

Tripleplay's IPTV Solution and Client Screen Control App, TripleClient, They are also used in the studio mixing room to monitor sources. The application gives Mediacorp control of the content without the need to access the system administration interface. The Tripleplay platform offers more than 100 television and radio channels through the Mediacorp network to more than 100 IPTV STB.
