Toshiba positively ends an 'irregular 2017' thanks to the Administration
Good prospects for 2018, with a rising storage market, new B2B contracts for the acquisition of equipment in administration and companies focus Toshiba's business in Iberia.
“The year 2017 has been irregular in terms of sales in the B2B market, but for us it has been good, with a spectacular rebound by the Administration, mainly autonomous, in acquisition of professional equipment, and by the demand of medium and large companies to have our systems again after bad experiences”, Emilio Dumas has assured, B2B manager of Toshiba in Spain and Portugal, during the traditional Christmas stew with the press.
Specifically, The sales figure for professional laptops has reached 65.000 units and maintains the Iberian subsidiary as a reference at the European level. This positive balance is greater in the storage division, a rising market, to the point that “in 2020 world demand will be 50 zetabytes and growing exponentially”, according to Larry Palomo, Head of Toshiba Electronics Europe.
At a corporate level, the recent purchase by Hisense of the 95% of Toshiba Visuals Solutions Corporation shares (TVS), and the acquisition by the Japanese manufacturer's former subsidiary in the television business to use the Toshiba brand in visual products and services for a period of forty years.
