A videomapping inaugurates Christmas in the Valladolid town hall

Light and music are the inspiring elements of the municipal Christmas program of Valladolid which was inaugurated last 2 December with the lighting of the ornamental lighting, almost completely renovated, and the projection of a videomapping on the façade of the town hall.

The technical events company Strange Productions has been responsible for making this seven-minute multimedia show in which images and live music were fused by a gospel choir., with continuous Christmas references that took advantage of the morphology of the façade.

For more than 12 years Xtrañas Producciones performs its videomapping shows with projectors Christie, control Watchout the Dataton, lightning High End, line array sound Eaw and structures of Layher Allround.

The animations in 2 y 3 dimensions were projected onto the main façade, the bell tower and clock of the town hall, with surround sound 5.1.

The projections played with the shapes and volumes of the façade, designed as a comprehensive show that sought to generate various sensations in the viewer, fusing other technical and artistic resources such as: robotic architectural lighting, special effects, voiceovers and, as a novelty, the live performance of the Good News gospel choir, composed of more than 40 backup singers and a live band 6 musicians, which was the show's own live soundtrack.

The musical training was perfectly integrated into the videomapping by performing in the center of the projection, on the balcony of the town hall itself, on a stepped stand.
