The third edition of this international robotics meeting has announced the names of the world experts who will analyze trends in technological innovation.

Internationally recognized professionals and experts, as Russ Angold, Enrico Krog Iversen, Homayoon Kazerooni, Samuel Bouchard and Mel Torrie have confirmed their attendance at the third edition of Global Robot Expo (GR-EX), which will take place 18 al 20 April of this year in Ifema – Madrid Fair, to analyze the latest innovations and trends in leading sectors such as aerospace, industry 4.0 and technologies such as artificial intelligence and service robotics.

As already mentioned Digital AV, in its edition 2018, Global Robot Expo consolidates Madrid as the capital of European robotics, with a multi-sector contest that has the institutional support of the Madrid City Council, the Community of Madrid and Red.es, and which plans to increase by 35% your business volume.

Shadow Robot Global Robot ExpoThe speakers will share their knowledge with attendees and reveal new disruptive trends in the different technological sectors present at the fair.. Among the most prominent experts who will participate in the edition 2018 they meet:

  • Russ Angold, founder and CEO of Exo Bionics, has extensive experience and numerous patents in the creation of exoskeletons for health, that help people with paralysis from injuries or strokes rehabilitate and recover.
  • Enrico Krog Iversen, CEO of Universal Robots for eight years and currently a recognized investor in startups that focus their activities on industrial automation.
  • Homayoon Kazerooni, robotics expert and founder of U.S. Bionics – SuitX, the largest bionic technology company in the world today, with an activity also linked to the manufacture of industrial and medical exoskeletons.
  • Samuel Bouchard, founder and CEO of Robotiq, Canadian collaborative robotics company, whose androids collaborate in the manufacturing processes of various industries.
  • Mikkel Christoffersen, business manager de Odense Robotics, Denmark's robotics industry cluster that aspires to become a global benchmark for the next industrial revolution.
  • Rich Walker, director of Shadow Robot Company, European company recognized for developing the most advanced robotic hand in the world, which has more than one hundred millimeter precision sensors.
  • Mel W. Torrie, founder of ASI Robot, American company and on the front line in the development of solutions for autonomous navigation systems for the mining sector, industrial and military.

In addition to conferences, Global Robot Expo will have round tables in which experts from different fields will analyze the main challenges and opportunities of the sector, with topics focused on geomatics (mobile mapping system and BIM technologies); aerospace (automation, manufacturing and quality control); unmanned traffic management (UTM); new emergency systems, rescues and fire prevention and control and the field of security and surveillance.
