The Festival of Light and Avant-garde announces the international videomapping contest 2018

Projects can be submitted until next 14 of may, and the works will be projected from 14 al 17 June in the Plaza Mayor of Salamanca.

In its third edition, he Light and Avant-garde Festival of Salamanca has just opened the call for the international videomapping contest 2018, which will be celebrated from 14 al 17 next June in the Plaza Mayor of this Castilian city, on whose baroque façade the selected works will be projected.

As in previous calls, this festival dedicated to an artistic modality that uses light as a basis for the creation and development of artistic and projection works, has the support of Salamanca City Council and the involvement of Iberdrola, in its commitment to avant-garde culture and art, under the organization of Communication Study (more details of the edition 2017 in Digital AV).

National and foreign artists and companies interested in participating in the edition 2018 of this festival must contact the festival organization through its website or at this email, to consult the bases and obtain the technical details necessary to make your proposals.

The deadline for the presentation of works ends next 14 of may, and a professional jury will announce the winners of the next 15 June.

One of the new things this year is that, in addition to the first prize, which is endowed with 15.000 euros, The council of this Castilian city will offer a second prize, of 5.000 euros, on the occasion of the eight hundred years of the creation of the University of Salamanca. Besides, Users will also be able to vote for their favorite work, through the festival website, for the public award, endowed with 3.000 euros.
