Epson evolves its Moverio smart glasses for application in healthcare and engineering
The new Epson BT-35E smartglasses allow access to low latency information from any device for use in healthcare, engineering or piloting commercial drones.
Epson has presented in Europe the latest version of its Moverio smartglasses -model BT-35E-, that respond to customer demands for their set with devices that are already on the market through HDMI and USB-C connections with almost zero latency. The company makes its experience in the field of optics available to a wider public, with applications in engineering sectors, healthcare, in piloting commercial drones, of leisure, etc.
For Valerie Riffaud-Cangelosi, Business Development Manager at Epson Europe, “both for healthcare professionals who do not want to look away from patients and for pilots interested in adding augmented reality to their facilities, these binocular transparent smartglasses, based on wireless Si OLED technology, are able to show, with low latency, a wide range of content from different devices via HDMI or USB-C connections”.
The development of the Moverio BT-35E smartglasses responds, according to this manager, “to expand the audience that can take advantage of the innovations of our optical elements and use smartglasses as if they were a transparent screen where they see the information on their devices”.

– Healthcare sector, as first or second screen. The doctor can focus his gaze on the patient with a more natural posture, without having to turn your head to see a monitor.
– Engineering, as a first or second screen for tasks that require low latency and good efficiency, including remote assistance tasks.
– Leisure sector, where theme parks and museums can enhance customer visits, that with this device they can watch videos or other content as if they had it on an elevated screen.
– Commercial drones, like the DJI Phantom model 4 Pro, in which smartglasses can serve drivers as a secondary display for subjective vision control when they have a primary display and an HDMI output.
