Advanced answers the assembly challenges of a complicated curved video wall
Given the special architecture of the wall, Advanced had to create a custom solution that would allow the installation of a 2-inch video wall.×7, configured with Christie Extreme LCD panels 1,7 mm en vertical.
Systems integration companies would like to think that the plans for a facility align with the reality of the location where the project is to be performed.. But this does not always happen, as was the case with the last challenge he faced. Advanced when he had to conceptualize, design and install a 2" curved LCD video wall×7 configured panels Christie in the lobby of an American logistics company.
“When a large American logistics company asked our team to install a new video wall that tracked and displayed delivery routes along with promotional content, We didn't anticipate how exclusive the space would be and how many challenges it would pose.. “The curved architecture of the wall on which it had to be mounted was one of the biggest challenges we have faced so far.”, comenta David Weatherhead, president of Advanced.
In order to meet the assembly challenges, we developed, tailored, a set of plates that adapted to the curvature of the wall and that allow the screen to adapt to the surface, while allowing access if necessary.
“As initially there was no project that specified what the curvature of the wall would be and no assembly manufacturer would support this tight curve, “We built a custom structure that was able to handle the radius of the wall and ensure that the monitors could slide easily and allow access for maintenance services.”, explica Scott Wouters, Director of Project Implementation, Systems Integration.
For this project, Christie Extreme LCD panels were used in portrait orientation with a bezel width of 1,7 mm. This bevel width was of particular importance for the lobby video wall, as it creates a near-seamless viewing experience.
Once the lobby assembly challenge was addressed, Advanced also installed a 3x3 panel, a Christie LCD screen 3,5 mm in the executive area of the fourth floor of the building and ten multimedia players, in charge of controlling the content displayed on the two video walls.
