Atlona adds 4K video distribution with Dolby Vision to its OmniStream platform
The company will integrate this solution into its OmniStream Pro and R-Type series for commercial audio and video applications.
Atlona announced that its OmniStream A/V over IP platform now supports 4K video distribution with Dolby Vision dynamic HDR, which it has integrated into its OmniStream Pro and R-Type series for commercial AV applications and residential environments.
Thanks to this integration, the OmniStream platform can offer content Dolby Vision 12-bit HDR a 60 fps about one 10 Gigabytes Ethernet.
For this, Atlona uses an algorithm to preserve HDR metadata and provide visually lossless image encoding and decoding for Dolby Vision HDR media players, Ultra HD Blue-ray devices and displays, depending on the version.
In the statement sent by Atlona, your product manager, David Shamir, explains that “Dolby Vision with dynamic HDR offers the best image quality, but the problem is that AV over IP systems and uncompressed video distribution systems that are being installed today are not fully compatible, which can lead to many customer complaints”.
