The Antequera museum creates a 360º immersive room with Canon projection

Canon has collaborated with Antequera Town Hall to allow visitors to discover the municipality and all its events through an immersive room with 360º projection in the museum.

So that its visitors could enjoy everything that the municipality offers them., The Antequera City Council needed a room in which travelers could live an immersive experience that would allow them to discover the typical environments and celebrations of the city of Malaga..
The Museum of the City of Antequera (MVCA) had graphic material, filmed in 360º, but I needed a space where the projection could be adapted to the requirements of the room, avoiding unwanted shadows and offering high image quality.
“The problem we had in the room is the limited space and the short distance between the projectors and the projection plane”, explains Agustín Puche Pérez, responsible for the Antequera City Council project.
The council trusted Canon to meet the set challenges and ensure that each person who entered the museum room enjoyed the events projected there as if they had experienced them firsthand..
The solution provided by Canon was the installation of four XEED WUX450ST video projectors that offer perfect adaptability to the curvature of the room, providing an optimal immersive experience.
This is possible thanks to the short projection distance, that avoids unnecessary shadows that spoil the experience, and the wide lens shift and optimal image quality that allow you to create photographs that do not overlap each other.
