VC Pines uses Audient technology to produce its latest work

His second single, Vixen, has been produced in a studio with 600 years old, which has high sound equipment among which are Audient preamplifiers.

Solo artist VC Pines has burst onto the music scene with the release of Vixen, his second single with Fierce Panda Records. It was produced in a small but well-equipped studio situated above a magical old coaching inn in St Albans., using, among other equipment, ASP880 microphone preamplifiers They will listen, brand that distributes Audio-Technique Iberia.

Paul Watson, studio owner, has recorded, produced and mixed the song. For the last two years he has dedicated himself to growing his studio and helping develop the VC Pines sound.

The studio itself has been named by Jack and Paul as The Hub, referring to it being the center of the creative bustle that permeates the complex, and a nod to Paul's recently launched video platform, The Hub, and has two rooms. “One of them is quite large and will be a live room, the other is a small but excellent control/composition room, which has been acoustically treated and calibrated and now features a full range monitoring system”.

In this project the Audient ASP880 microphone preamp has been used.. “It offers me an extremely warm and very quiet sound, and practically everything we have done with VC Pines has gone through it. Any piano or keyboards in general, all electric guitars – often direct, as clean as possible, and later adding the FX- and all the voices.

“It's also extraordinary to see him dub a vocal track; Soul singers are famous for their ability to improvise by phrasing but, somehow, even with improvised phrasing, he bends perfectly at all times. That makes my job a lot easier!!”, said Paul, laughing.
