With the arrival of Carnival, Cities are preparing to host great shows in which the colorful, imagination and music are always protagonists. This year, the Castellón town of Vinaroz (Vinaròs) has stood out with a spectacular Queens Gala, with a design and production carried out by TS Productions, with the collaboration of Stonex and the brands it sells.
La programación del show de iluminación ha sido un trabajo de Rubén Sánchez, with lighting design by Carlos Rubert. The challenge of this project was to illuminate a large stage, of 14 meters high, in which a pharaonic decorated in the form of arches that emulated the Doge's Palace in Venice stood out., a work by the Fallero artist Carsi. The chosen material had to offer maximum dynamism and power, In addition to reducing the flickeo for television broadcast.
Among the material used for this event, twelve units of the small Diablo de Ayrton what, placed at 25 y 10 metros, They were used to play with the lighting of the set.
“Thanks to the blades and the power of the device, in addition to its animation system and gobos, we use them to make frontals, paint and fill the scenery with animations and give it a warm touch for TV”, explains his lighting designer, Carlos Rubert.
The design was completed by twelve Mini-B units of Claypacks, a very versatile device, since it can function as beam, wash and effect. “We have used them in the form of a flag on the sides of the stage to give it width. Thanks to the possibility of functioning as a wash or as a beam, we could change the mode depending on the light we needed.”.
For lighting control, the MA3 console has been used. MA Lighting in your version full-size, specially designed to control large installations involving numerous devices, whether lighting or effects, con 12,288 factory parameters scalable up to 250.000.
The complication that the assembly of a set of such dimensions could entail, in which a large number of devices had to be inserted, was solved with 3D design software Vectorworks.
This 3D modeling program is a valuable tool for lighting designers, since it allows you to create a virtual environment in which to study the result, that it is possible to import later into MA in a simple way.
“Thanks to the versatility of Vectorworks 2020, along with the implementation of GrandMA3 full size and the Aryton and Clayplay systems have been made the best Queens Gala of the Carnival of Vinaroz in history -says Rubert-. From Produccions TS we thank Stonex for its technical control and lighting solutions and its technical advice through the commercial department.”. This event was attended by 7.000 personas.
